Tweezerman migrated their 7 ecommerce storefronts from Magento 2.0 to Shopify Plus and needed a scalable, easy-to-maintain, dedicated storefront for their UK & US B2B wholesale customers adopting Shopify’s newly launched B2B features. The engagement spanned all essential phases, including project discovery and stakeholder alignment, technical data migration, Microsoft Dynamics D365 integration, activation of wholesale functionality, custom theme design and development, ADA compliance, and a streamlined development, quality assurance, and launch workflow.
The Solution
LIM set out to migrate the storefronts, order data, customers/companies, catalogs, and intake processes while taking advantage of Shopify’s built-in functionality while maintaining the future opportunity to adjust the storefronts to include D2C Bulk Pricing/outlet style offers. The solution included a custom intake workflow for new customers, which triggers response delivery to Tweezerman’s internal Sales representatives to review and establish relationships with their vendors. Once a vendor is approved on the internal side of the business, a record is created in D365 and subsequently sent to Shopify for order intake. LIM built custom middleware to transform D365 records to create Company profiles with multi location ordering and multi catalog assignments within Shopify.
